“Turmoil” is one of the 3,200 h.p. Diesel Salvage Tugs of the “Bustler Class”, built for the Admiralty by the Henry Robb Shipyard of Leith.
Tugs built to this design were required to carry out salvage and rescue work along with convoy escort duties. They were built between 1941 and 1945. “Turmoil” was built in 1944.
