This model is based on the 3,200 h.p. Diesel Salvage Tug “Bustler”, built for the Admiralty by the Henry Robb Shipyard of Leith.
A number of tugs were built to this design and were required to carry out salvage and rescue work along with convoy escort duties. They were built between 1941 and 1945.
The model has a draught of 5ins. with the Masthead 21 ins. above the waterline.
The overall length of 51ins. is based on an approx. scale of 1:45 but the drawings consisting of Hull Lines, Elevation & Plans are presented at half- size. (Approx. Scale 1:90)
