Artesania – “La Niña”
One of the three Spanish ships used by Christopher Columbus on the first voyage to the New World in 1492.
There is very little contemporary evidence on “Pinta” and “Niña” and both ships belonged to the Pinzon family.
“Niña” was rigged with lanteen sails.
Columbus always referred to “Niña” and “Pinta” as the Caravels.
Assembly is by means of false keel and frames.
