Billing Boats – “Andrea Gail”.
R/C Model of a U.S. Fishing Trawler.
The “Andrea Gail”, a commercial fishing vessel, departed Gloucester Harbour, Massachusetts, September 20, 1991 with six crew members.
The crew intended to fish for swordfish in the area of the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, Canada.
The vessel and crew went missing and were presumed lost at sea in a major storm, referred to as the “Perfect Storm” by a meteorologist and made famous by Sebastian Junger’s book which was later turned into a Hollywood movie.
This kit features plank on frame construction, laser cut plywood keel and frame components, wooden superstructure and decks, hull and deck fittings in brass and/or plastic, timber mast and spars & rigging cord in various sizes.
It includes full size plan sheets and an instruction manual with English text.
